Snake Sync Privacy Policy
Snake Sync is a Chrome extension for best ball fantasy football drafters. It reads your own draft rooms and your own completed rosters, in your own browser, and shows them in a companion analytics page. This policy describes exactly what the extension touches, where that data lives, and how you remove it.
The short version: everything stays in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers, because there are none. Nothing is sold, shared, or used for advertising or analytics.
What the extension reads
Live draft rooms (Underdog Fantasy, Drafters). While you have a draft room open, the extension reads the picks shown in that tab: player names, positions, teams, and pick order. It reads them from the page itself and from the draft data the page has already loaded. It never clicks, types, or sends requests to the draft site, and it never reads your login session or authentication tokens.
DraftKings roster capture (only when you click). DraftKings offers no roster export, so the extension provides one. When, and only when, you click the capture button, the extension reads, from your own logged-in DraftKings session in your own browser:
- your contest list (contest names, entry fees, contest sizes, contest IDs), and
- for each of your completed best ball entries, your picks: player names, pick numbers, pick times, and average draft position values.
These are read-only requests to the same pages and endpoints DraftKings already serves to you when you browse the site. The extension reads only contests you have entered. It does not read your account details, balance, payment information, or cookies, and it cannot act on your account.
Where data is stored
- Your captured rosters are saved in the extension's local storage on your device (
chrome.storage.local), one capture per site, with each new capture replacing the previous one. - When you open the companion analytics page, your picks and rosters are handed to that page inside your browser and stored in the browser's own database (IndexedDB) on your device. The companion page has no user accounts and no server-side storage; it never uploads your data.
- Overlay panel position and size are saved in the draft site's local storage so the panel stays where you put it.
No data of any kind leaves your device. There is no server component, no analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting, and no tracking of any kind.
What the extension never does
- Never sells, shares, or transfers your data to anyone.
- Never transmits your data off your device.
- Never reads passwords, payment details, cookies, or authentication tokens.
- Never acts on your accounts: no clicks, no picks, no entries, no messages.
- Never collects browsing history. Content scripts run only on the draft sites listed in the extension's manifest and on the companion analytics page.
Retention and your controls
- Replace: each new DraftKings capture overwrites the previous one.
- Delete captured rosters: the companion page's Exposure tab has a Clear control that deletes all imported picks from the browser database. Clearing the browser's site data for the companion page does the same.
- Delete extension storage: uninstalling the extension deletes everything in its local storage.
- Nothing is retained anywhere else, because nothing is stored anywhere else.
Third-party sites
The extension works alongside Underdog Fantasy, Drafters, and DraftKings, but it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of them. Your relationship with those sites, including their own privacy practices, is governed by their terms and policies.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices ever change (for example, if a future version adds any off-device feature), this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the effective date above revised. Material changes will be called out in the extension's store listing changelog.
